How to Put On a Duvet Cover

Putting on a duvet cover doesn't need to be a two-person wrestling match. There's a simple technique, sometimes called the burrito method, that makes it effortless.

Start by turning your duvet cover inside out and laying it flat on the bed with the opening at the foot. Then lay your duvet insert on top, aligning the corners.

Starting from the head of the bed, roll the duvet and cover together into a tight roll, like a burrito, all the way down to the foot.

Once rolled, reach into the opening of the duvet cover at each end and grab the corners of the roll. Flip the cover opening over each end of the roll, then simply unroll everything back toward the head of the bed.

Give it a shake, button or zip it closed, and you're done. The whole process takes under two minutes once you've done it a few times.
